Description

Prince Bira was an excellent prewar amateur driver who could often give the professionals a run for their money. Here he is enthusiastically cornering his E.R.A. He won the first heat but had to settle for third place in the final. Before the start there was a minute of silence in honor of Richard Seaman who had died of burns sustained at the Belgian Grand Prix on the prior weekend.
